When Jacqui drives me around in Australia, I narrate what texts she’s received and write the responses for her.

Her brother wrote “Sure!” So I said, “Sure exclamation point”

Then she asked, “Is ‘exclamation point’ an American thing or Matt thing? I would say exclamation mark”

I used to be quite sure about whether something was an American phrase or words I had made up, but you know how it is.. if people ask you, you start second guessing yourself.
